Early Childhood Education Teacher Associate I – Per Diem

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher Associate I - Per Diem to join our early childhood programs in Neptune City, Monmouth County. As a part-time educator, you'll support young children's development and learning while working alongside colleagues in a patient-focused, team-oriented healthcare environment.

About the Role

This is a per diem, part-time position supporting early childhood education within our healthcare organization. You'll work flexibly as scheduled to provide quality instruction and supervision, collaborating with lead teachers to create engaging, safe learning environments that follow established developmental practices.

What You'll Do

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and lessons
• Supervise children and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment
• Support curriculum implementation that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Prepare classroom materials, organize learning spaces, and maintain supplies
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom information
• Support inclusive practices and help all learners feel welcomed and valued
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines throughout daily operations

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education certification or Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility to work a per diem schedule as needs arise
• Genuine commitment to young children's growth and learning
• Dependability and collaborative spirit as part of a team
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification
• Background clearance as required to work with children
