About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in Cardiology at Hartford Hospital, you'll deliver direct patient care to individuals with cardiac conditions and post-operative cardiac patients. This is a meaningful role where you'll combine technical expertise, patient advocacy, and clinical judgment in a fast-paced, evidence-based healthcare environment. Multiple shifts are available, offering flexibility in your work schedule.

What You'll Do

• Assess, monitor, and provide direct nursing care to cardiology patients throughout their hospital stay
• Perform vital signs monitoring, cardiac assessment, and electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation assistance
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and coordinate post-operative care for cardiac patients
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patients' families regarding care plans and progress
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Respond promptly to patient needs and advocate for quality outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license or Graduate Nurse (GN) eligibility
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced hospital setting
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach
• Commitment to professional standards and continuous learning
• Graduate nurses and those new to cardiology are encouraged to apply
