Join U.S. Xpress - OTR as a Class A CDL Company Driver in Paducah, McCracken County. We're hiring experienced over-the-road drivers for our dry van fleet with competitive pay, sign-on bonuses, and a supportive team environment.
About the Role
This is a full-time, over-the-road dry van driving position designed for professional Class A CDL drivers with 1-5 months of experience. You'll operate a commercial truck across the continental United States, delivering freight on consistent routes with predictable home time.
What You'll Do
- Drive a dry van over-the-road truck with typical assignments of 12 days out and 2 days home
- Complete approximately 2,000 miles weekly on company runs
- Ensure safe, on-time delivery of freight while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain detailed logbooks and communicate with dispatch regarding load status
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with passenger and hazmat endorsements preferred
- 1-5 months of verifiable OTR driving experience
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background screening
- Commitment to safety and reliable on-time performance
- Professional communication and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay of 57–64 cents per mile, based on your experience
- $4,000 sign-on bonus to get you started
- Guaranteed weekly minimum pay of $1,500
- Top 20% of drivers earn $1,650 per week or more
- Team driving option available: $5,000 sign-on bonus (split), 72–80 cents per mile (split), and 5,000 miles weekly average
