About the Role
General Motors seeks an experienced Electrician Journeyperson to maintain, repair, and optimize the electrical systems that power our manufacturing operations. You'll diagnose electrical failures, perform installations, and execute preventative maintenance on sophisticated equipment and control systems, functioning independently and with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do
- Layout, install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, circuits, and wiring systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical failures and control system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical expertise
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure operational reliability and safety
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Install and test new electrical equipment according to specifications and industry codes
- Document maintenance activities and equipment conditions for records and compliance
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations
What We're Looking For
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent credential
