This is a full-time opportunity to build, repair, and optimize dies and fixtures for high-volume automotive production, working with skilled teams in a modern facility.

About the Role

As a Tool and Die Maker, you'll be at the heart of our stamping and assembly operations. Your expertise in reading technical blueprints and CAD files will guide the design and fabrication of dies, fixtures, and custom tooling. You'll operate precision machinery, perform mechanical assembly and fitting, and conduct tryouts to validate that each tool meets automotive quality standards before entering production. When issues arise, you'll troubleshoot and repair tooling quickly to keep our production lines running efficiently and safely.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to guide tooling design and modification
• Fabricate, assemble, and fit precision metal components using milling machines, lathes, and hand tools
• Build and rebuild dies, punches, fixtures, and associated tooling for stamping and assembly processes
• Set up and validate dies in production equipment; run tryouts to verify dimensional accuracy and fit
• Diagnose mechanical failures, wear, and misalignment; repair or replace components to restore tool function
• Collaborate with process engineers, quality specialists, and production teams to solve problems and improve tooling performance
• Maintain detailed records of tool maintenance, modifications, and repair history
• Follow all safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment and flawless parts

What We're Looking For

• Journeyperson certification or equivalent hands-on experience as a die maker or tool builder
• Strong proficiency with manual and CNC machining equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files accurately
• Solid mechanical knowledge of tool design, metal properties, and fit tolerances
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex tooling under time pressure
• Communication skills to work effectively with engineers, operators, and cross-functional teams
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
