About the Role
As a Child Educator Assistant and Paraprofessional Assistant, you'll serve in a dual capacity supporting kindergarten programming and English language learning initiatives. You'll work directly with classroom teachers and students, helping to create a safe, inclusive learning environment while managing student supervision and crossing guard duties.
What You'll Do
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities, small-group learning, and student engagement in kindergarten and ELL settings
- Support behavior management and help students develop social-emotional skills
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and dismissal periods
- Serve as a crossing guard, ensuring student safety during arrival and departure
- Help maintain classroom organization and prepare materials for learning activities
- Communicate with families and teachers to support student progress
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively with young children and diverse learners, including English language learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and flexibility in a school-based environment

Position Details

- Schedule: 2.5 hours per day
- Pay: $15.61 per hour, with increases based on experience
