About the Role

We're seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for an immediate travel assignment in Santa Maria. This 13-week contract, beginning July 20, 2026, provides predictable scheduling and steady employment within a rehabilitation setting. As a Travel PTA, you'll support licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care while gaining valuable clinical experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist physical therapists in delivering treatment plans and therapeutic interventions to patients
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises, stretching routines, and functional mobility activities
• Observe and document patient responses to treatment and progress toward therapy goals
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and provide encouragement during recovery
• Prepare and maintain treatment spaces, equipment, and patient materials
• Support the clinical team while maintaining professional, compassionate patient interactions

What We're Looking For

• Valid California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
• Clinical experience in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or rehabilitation services
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Physical capability to assist patients with transfers, positioning, and therapeutic activities

Position Details
