About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager in Campbell, TX, you'll work full time supporting store operations and contributing to our team's success. You'll report to the Store Manager and play a key role in keeping our store running smoothly, from opening and closing procedures to customer service excellence and team leadership.

What You'll Do

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies
• Supervise and train store associates, fostering a positive team environment and holding accountability for performance
• Manage store opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reconciliation
• Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and merchandise displays to meet Dollar General standards
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock rotation, and prepare for deliveries
• Cover the sales floor and assist with checkout when needed to support customer flow
• Maintain awareness of sales metrics and work toward store goals

What We're Looking For

• Experience in retail operations, customer service, or team leadership—previous Dollar General or similar discount retail background is ideal
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and comfortable learning new technologies
• Physical ability to lift regularly, stand for extended periods, and move throughout the store
• Dependable, professional approach with a commitment to showing up consistently and on time
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed during busy periods
