CDL-A Company Driver – OTR

About the Role

As a Class A CDL Company Driver with U.S. Xpress - OTR, you'll operate company-owned dry van equipment on long-haul routes throughout the nation. This role offers predictable scheduling with consistent mileage opportunities and compensation structured to reward your experience and performance.

What You'll Do

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely across the United States for extended multi-week assignments
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards
• Maintain accurate logbooks and vehicle documentation in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations
• Deliver loads on schedule while prioritizing road safety and cargo integrity
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and address roadside issues professionally
• Adhere to hours-of-service rules, vehicle maintenance schedules, and company safety protocols

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Minimum 1 to 5 months of over-the-road trucking experience
• Current DOT medical certificate
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Compensation & Benefits

U.S. Xpress - OTR offers competitive pay based on your experience, ranging from 56 to 60 cents per mile for solo drivers. Solo operators average 2,000 miles per week and receive a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,400 with a 12-days-out, 2-days-home schedule, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Team driver positions average 5,000 miles per week at 72 to 80 cents per mile split compensation, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus shared between partners. Top-performing solo drivers in our fleet earn up to $1,650 weekly.
