Hartford Hospital seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in Avon, Connecticut. About the Role
You'll provide direct patient care and clinical support in our cardiac catheterization lab, where precision and compassion matter equally. What You'll Do
- Deliver comprehensive pre-procedure and post-procedure patient assessment and education
- Prepare and maintain sterile environments and cardiac catheterization equipment
- Obtain and review patient vital signs, medical histories, and relevant cardiac test results
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Monitor patients for complications and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Ensure accurate charting and maintain detailed procedural records
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, technologists, and care team members
- Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the care experience
What We're Looking For
- Current Connecticut RN licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Clinical nursing experience, ideally in acute care or cardiac settings
- Strong assessment skills and ability to interpret patient responses
- Detail-oriented approach to equipment management and infection control
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a procedural environment
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice
