This full-time research position in our Department of Internal Medicine offers the opportunity to conduct original research in digestive and liver disease while advancing your career in academic medicine.
About the Role
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Internal Medicine (Gastroenterology), you will work within our Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology to conduct laboratory-based research. This position provides mentored research training and the resources you need to develop as an independent investigator in gastroenterology science.
What You'll Do
- Conduct original research projects in gastroenterology and hepatology within a dedicated laboratory environment
- Perform experimental procedures and analyze data related to digestive and liver disease
- Prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Participate in laboratory meetings, seminars, and departmental research discussions
- Collaborate with faculty mentors and interdisciplinary research teams
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow research compliance standards
- Present research at departmental and regional scientific meetings
What We're Looking For
- MD, DO, or PhD in a relevant scientific or clinical field
- Strong background in research design and experimental methodology
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Prior laboratory experience in a related field preferred
