About the Role

As the DVP of Land Acquisition with Taleo Social Sourcing on behalf of D.R. Horton, you will spearhead the evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of land parcels suited to entry-level and first-time move-up homebuyers. Based in Roseville, this position places you at the center of one of the nation's most active homebuilding operations, guiding decisions that fuel new neighborhoods across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, assess, and secure land suitable for single-family residential development.
• Lead negotiations on purchase agreements, options, and contract terms with sellers and landowners.
• Conduct due diligence covering zoning, entitlements, feasibility, and market viability.
• Partner with internal teams across construction, finance, and entitlements to align acquisitions with business goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, and municipal stakeholders.
• Manage a pipeline of opportunities to support sustained community growth in the Placer County market.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or homebuilding leadership.
• Strong command of negotiation, contract structuring, and financial analysis.
• Working knowledge of zoning, entitlement processes, and local land-use regulations.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Roseville, Placer County in a full-time capacity.
