About the Role
As a Diesel Mechanic with Great Lakes Petroleum, you will service and repair diesel engine fuel trucks and boom trucks at our Midfield shop. The position centers on preventative upkeep, accurate troubleshooting, and clear communication with drivers to ensure every vehicle stays road-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on diesel engine fuel trucks and boom trucks
- Run drivability diagnostics to pinpoint and resolve mechanical issues
- Document all completed work with thorough, accurate written records
- Review driver-submitted Vehicle Condition Reports and perform the necessary repairs
- Service air and hydraulic brake systems, suspensions, transmissions, and emissions components
- Keep the shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
- Working knowledge of air/hydraulic brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and emissions systems
- Strong diagnostic ability and attention to detail in completing repairs
- Solid recordkeeping habits and clear communication with drivers and team members
- Commitment to a safe, tidy, and well-maintained shop environment
