About the Role
This full-time Travel Nurse RN - Oncology position places you on the front lines of cancer care at a facility in Augusta, Georgia. Over a 13-week contract beginning September 8, 2025, you'll deliver compassionate, skilled nursing to oncology patients while working day shifts structured as four 10-hour days each week. Prior travel nursing experience is welcome but not a requirement — what matters most is your clinical confidence and dedication to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care to individuals undergoing oncology treatment
- Administer medications and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patient conditions closely and respond promptly to changes in status
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, symptom management, and care expectations
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate effective oncology services
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in keeping with facility standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Current BCLS/BLS certification
- Oncology nursing background suited to a fast-paced acute care setting
- Availability for the full 13-week assignment on a Day (4x10) shift schedule
- Willingness to relocate to or work on-site in Augusta, GA (this role is not remote)
