Merck is hiring a Sr. Specialist, Learning & Development - Integrated Account Management in Charleston, Kanawha County, to help build the capabilities that power our Integrated Account Management (IAM) organization.

About the Role

As a Sr. Specialist, Learning & Development - Integrated Account Management at Merck, you will act as a strategic learning partner across the IAM organization within the company portfolio. Working side by side with business leaders and cross-functional teams, you will translate evolving business priorities into targeted learning solutions that strengthen individual and team performance. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Charleston, Kanawha County.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to surface capability gaps and learning needs across IAM.
• Assess organizational priorities and translate them into practical, business-aligned development strategies.
• Design and shape learning programs and product knowledge offerings that support the growth of the IAM workforce.
• Serve as a trusted consultant on capability building, advising on the most effective approaches for closing skill gaps.
• Partner across functions to ensure learning initiatives reinforce broader business objectives within the company portfolio.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in learning and development, capability building, or a related consultative function.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to diagnose needs and recommend solutions.
• Strong skills in needs assessment, instructional or program design, and stakeholder engagement.
• Comfort operating in a complex, matrixed organization and aligning learning work to measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
