About the Role

As a Travel PACU Registered Nurse with Wellspring Nurse Source, you will care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at a facility in La Cienga, Santa Fe County. This full-time travel position runs for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week, scheduled around 10-hour day shifts, with an immediate (ASAP) start date.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, tracking vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness during recovery.
• Assess and manage post-operative pain, nausea, and complications, escalating concerns to the surgical and anesthesia teams as needed.
• Deliver attentive, individualized nursing care throughout each 10-hour day shift in a fast-paced PACU environment.
• Document patient progress accurately and prepare patients for safe transfer or discharge.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure smooth, safe transitions of care.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in New Mexico.
• Clinical experience in PACU / Post Anesthesia Care.
• Availability for a 13-week travel contract working 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts.
• Willingness to begin the assignment as soon as possible.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills suited to a recovery-room setting.
