Product Experience Designer

Cardinal Health seeks a Product Experience Designer to join our team in Capitol, Richmond, bringing strategic design thinking to healthcare technology. This is a full-time position on our Product Experience team, where you'll transform user research and insights into beautifully functional digital products and services that meaningfully impact how people work and live.

About the Role

As a Product Experience Designer at Cardinal Health, you'll bridge the gap between discovery and delivery, taking complex user needs and translating them into intuitive, purpose-driven digital experiences. This role requires both depth and versatility—you'll own the design process from research through implementation, collaborating across product, engineering, and business teams to create solutions that genuinely serve our users. Whether designing workflows, interfaces, or entire service ecosystems, you'll champion the user voice and push for designs that balance elegance with practical impact.

What You'll Do

• Conduct user research and synthesize findings into actionable design direction that shapes product strategy
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that communicate design intent across the organization
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to refine solutions and ensure designs ship with integrity
• Advocate for user needs and accessibility standards throughout the design and development lifecycle
• Iterate based on user feedback and analytics, continuously improving the quality of our digital experiences
• Contribute to and strengthen our design system and component library for consistency and efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 3–6 years of professional experience designing digital products or services for complex domains
• Fluency with design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent) and prototyping approaches
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work, including research, wireframes, and outcomes
• Strong communication skills and ability to advocate for design decisions to stakeholders
• Curiosity about healthcare, enterprise software, or B2B environments (not required but valued)
• Comfort thriving in cross-functional teams and adapting to evolving priorities
