About the Role

This full-time Registered Nurse New Graduate Medicine position welcomes recent nursing school graduates into adult acute care medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital's Saint Raphael Campus in Berlin, Hartford County. New nurses are placed across a range of medicine units — including acute care medicine with telemetry, as well as renal and palliative specialty medicine — where you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based bedside care while building the clinical foundation for a lasting nursing career.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults on acute care medicine and telemetry units
• Support renal and palliative specialty medicine patients with attentive, individualized care
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Apply nursing best practices and unit protocols while completing new graduate orientation and mentorship

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (new graduates encouraged to apply)
• Eligibility for or current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Connecticut
• Interest in adult acute care medicine, including telemetry and specialty medicine settings
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills
• Commitment to safe, patient-centered care
