AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company is hiring a full-time Municipal Water Works Sales Representative in Mount Eden, Alameda County (Hayward, CA) to grow our American Flow Control (AFC) presence across the region's water and wastewater systems.
About the Role
As a Municipal Water Works Sales Representative based in Hayward, CA, you'll represent our American Flow Control (AFC) Sales Division and help shape the performance of AFC products throughout the water, wastewater, and sewer markets. This on-site position centers on driving revenue, building lasting customer relationships, and strengthening AMERICAN's standing with municipalities, utilities, and distributors across Alameda County.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell American Flow Control (AFC) products into the water, wastewater, and sewer markets.
- Generate new leads and convert prospects into long-term accounts to fuel business growth.
- Manage, nurture, and expand the existing customer base within the assigned territory.
- Increase AMERICAN's market presence and visibility across the municipal water works segment.
- Partner with the AFC Sales Division to advance product success and meet division goals.
Qualifications
- Proven sales experience, ideally serving water, wastewater, sewer, or related municipal and utility markets.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, win new business, and retain and grow established accounts.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and territory-management skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work on-site and travel within the Hayward, CA area as the role requires.
