About the Role

As director of the Youth Reentry Center, you'll oversee comprehensive programming that empowers formerly incarcerated and gang-involved youth to rebuild their lives. You'll manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure participants receive the support, skills training, and hope they need to become productive community members. This full-time, exempt position requires both operational excellence and genuine commitment to transformative, trauma-informed youth work.

What You'll Do

• Direct all center activities, including educational programs, job training, mentorship, and life skills development
• Recruit, supervise, and develop a high-performing team of counselors, educators, and support staff
• Set program goals, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement in participant success rates
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, employers, community organizations, and government agencies
• Manage budgets, grant compliance, and program documentation
• Represent the center in community meetings and advocacy forums
• Ensure safe, inclusive, and culturally competent programming that honors participants' identities and experiences

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience directing youth programs, nonprofit operations, or similar community-based initiatives
• Deep understanding of juvenile justice, reentry challenges, and trauma-informed practices
• Strong budget management, strategic planning, and grant writing skills
• Excellent communication and ability to inspire both staff and young people
• Commitment to social justice and lived experience with or passion for serving communities affected by incarceration
• Bachelor's degree in social work, education, nonprofit management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
