About the Role

As a Middle Market Commercial Banker at Wintrust Financial, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to mid-market businesses and their principals. You'll be responsible for originating, structuring, and managing commercial loans while developing deep partnerships with clients across the region. This role combines analytical rigor with relationship management, requiring you to understand clients' evolving business needs and deliver tailored financial solutions.

What You'll Do

• Identify and prospect for new middle-market commercial clients within your market
• Structure and originate commercial loans, including working capital facilities, term loans, and acquisition financing
• Conduct business analysis and financial underwriting to evaluate credit quality and risk
• Manage existing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying cross-selling opportunities
• Collaborate with credit, operations, and specialized finance teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Maintain detailed client files and documentation in compliance with bank policies and regulations
• Stay current with market conditions, industry trends, and competitive positioning

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial banking experience, preferably in middle-market lending
• Demonstrated ability to originate and close significant commercial loans
• Strong financial analysis and underwriting skills
• Excellent relationship management and business development abilities
• Knowledge of commercial loan structures, credit policies, and banking regulations
• Bachelor's degree (preferred in Finance, Business Administration, or related field)
• Proficiency with banking systems and Microsoft Office
• Professional demeanor with strong communication and negotiation skills
