About the Role
As a Truck Driver Owner Operator with Diamond Transportation, you'll run over-the-road (OTR) freight as an independent contractor operating your own equipment. This position is centered in Topeka, Shawnee County, and is ideal for seasoned flatbed professionals who take pride in safe, secure load handling. A minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Haul OTR freight reliably and on schedule using your own truck
- Operate RGN, flatbed, or step-deck trailers across long-haul routes
- Apply proper chaining, strapping, and securement techniques to keep every load safe and compliant
- Inspect and maintain your equipment to meet all DOT and safety standards
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and represent Diamond Transportation professionally on the road
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of OTR driving experience
- Independent contractor who owns and operates their own truck
- Hands-on experience with RGN, flatbed, or step-deck trailers
- Strong working knowledge of chaining, strapping, and load securement
- Valid commercial driver's license and a clean, safety-focused driving record
