Role Overview

U.S. Xpress - OTR is seeking experienced solo over-the-road (OTR) CDL-A truck drivers to join their team in Richlands, Virginia. Drivers will earn a weekly minimum pay of $1,500 and have the potential to reach up to $1,700 per week based on performance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of dry van cargo across the U.S.
• Maintain accurate logs and records as required by regulations.
• Ensure safe driving practices at all times to prevent accidents.
• Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of OTR driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Hazmat certification is a plus.
• A valid CDL-A license with appropriate endorsements.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Working at U.S. Xpress - OTR

As a solo driver, you can expect an average of 2,000 miles per week with the potential for higher earnings based on performance. The company offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus to new hires and guarantees a weekly minimum pay of $1,500. Top 20% of drivers earn up to $1,700 per week.

For team drivers, the sign-on bonus is $10,000 split between two drivers with an average of 5,500 miles per week. Starting pay is competitive at $0.72 - $0.80 CPM (cents per mile), and teams can earn up to $260,000 annually on average, with the potential for top teams earning over $300,000.
