Company Truck Driver – OTR

Join U.S. Xpress as a professional Over-the-Road (OTR) truck driver based in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. We're seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to join our modern fleet and earn competitive pay while maintaining safe, reliable operations across the country.

About the Role

This full-time position offers steady OTR work in a dry van fleet. You'll deliver loads consistently, averaging 2,000 miles per week, while working a sustainable 12 days out, 2 days home rotation that keeps you connected to life at home.

What You'll Do

• Operate a dry van tractor over long distances, safely transporting time-sensitive cargo
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues
• Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations, hours of service, and company safety protocols
• Complete logistical documentation and load tracking accurately and on time
• Manage route planning and delivery schedules to meet customer commitments
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL-A license with 1 to 5 months of OTR driving experience minimum
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and background screening
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance
• Reliability and professional communication skills

Compensation

• 57 to 64 cents per mile based on your experience level
• Guaranteed minimum weekly pay of $1,500
• Top 20% of our OTR drivers earn $1,650 weekly
• $4,000 sign-on bonus
• Team driving option: $5,000 sign-on bonus with $0.72 to $0.80 CPM split and average 5,000 miles per week
