This is a temporary travel position perfect for physical therapy assistants seeking flexibility and variety in their careers. You'll work a standard full-time schedule—40 hours per week across 8-hour shifts—supporting the physical therapy team in a skilled nursing facility environment. The 13-week duration provides meaningful tenure while maintaining the autonomy that draws many clinicians to travel healthcare roles.

What You'll Do

• Assist licensed physical therapists with patient assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual conditions
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and mobility activities, adapting techniques to recovery goals and physical capabilities
• Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions in accordance with facility standards
• Maintain safe, clean treatment spaces and ensure equipment is ready for use
• Support patient safety, dignity, and comfort during all therapeutic activities
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Communicate observations and concerns to the supervising physical therapist

What We're Looking For

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or certification in good standing
• Prior experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting
• CPR/BLS certification (or commitment to obtaining immediately)
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Physical stamina and ability to assist patients with safe mobilization and transfers
• Reliability, attention to detail, and dedication to patient-centered care
• Ability to follow clinical protocols and work effectively under physical therapist supervision
