About This Travel Assignment

We're recruiting a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support our clinical team in a skilled nursing facility setting. This 13-week travel contract begins July 20, 2026, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient recovery while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position follows a five-day schedule with standard eight-hour day shifts focused on direct patient care.

What You'll Do

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists with patient treatment sessions and prescribed therapeutic exercises
• Guide patients through mobility activities to restore strength, balance, and functional independence
• Apply therapeutic modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, and other clinical treatments under supervision
• Document patient progress, observations, and treatment responses in medical records
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and ongoing care strategies
• Maintain a safe, organized treatment environment and properly manage clinical equipment
• Support patient transfers and positioning to ensure comfort, safety, and dignity

What We're Looking For

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license or certification (PTA)
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse patient populations and clinical teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and capability to assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Detail-oriented approach to documentation and patient care standards
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance and professional healthcare ethics
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting
