Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

About the Role

This is a full-time travel nursing position with GHR Healthcare based in Akron, Hale County. As a Med/Surg Telemetry RN, you will care for medical-surgical patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring, supporting a busy unit across 12-hour shifts. The assignment is scheduled to begin on July 24, 2026, runs for approximately 13 weeks, and is built around a 36-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients during 12-hour shifts.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and care plans in line with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the wider care team to coordinate safe, effective treatment.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and discharge expectations.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid for practice in Ohio.
• Clinical experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing.
• Confidence reading telemetry and managing acutely ill patients in a hospital environment.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week for the duration of the contract.
• Willingness to travel to and work on-site in Akron, Hale County (this role is not remote).
