What This Role Involves

As a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, you're the primary technical resource in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. You'll operate advanced radiographic imaging equipment, assist interventional cardiologists and cardiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures, and deliver consistently high-quality diagnostic images. Your precision, technical knowledge, and collaboration directly enable successful patient outcomes and procedural efficiency.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopy and cardiac imaging systems during catheterization procedures
• Position patients safely and implement radiation protection measures to minimize exposure
• Prepare and organize sterile instruments, catheters, contrast media, and equipment
• Monitor hemodynamic parameters and vital signs throughout procedures
• Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and clinical team members
• Maintain equipment function and perform routine quality assurance tests
• Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records

Skills & Qualifications

• ARRT certification in radiography or cardiac-invasive specialty
• Documented experience in an active cardiac catheterization or interventional cardiology lab
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures
• Proficiency with fluoroscopic and digital imaging platforms
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities in high-acuity environments
• Ability to tolerate extended periods standing and respond to time-sensitive clinical demands
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and radiation safety standards
