Role Overview

The Components Test Organization at SpaceX is dedicated to providing the testing expertise necessary for developing flight hardware across various systems including Falcon Launch Systems, Dragon Spacecraft Systems, Starship Launch and Spacecraft Systems, as well as Starlink Telecommunications Satellites. This role involves hands-on responsibilities from conception through R&D testing, design qualification testing, production/acceptance testing, and failure investigations of any hardware in its lifecycle.

Core Duties

  • Provide critical testing expertise to the development process of flight hardware.
  • Proficient in multiple engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, fluid dynamics, automation, and control systems.
  • Analyze test data for interpretation and actionable insights.
  • Expertise in safe operation of highly energetic and hazardous tests to ensure safety.
  • Develop automated test systems for rapid and reliable production of flight hardware.
  • Skills in systems engineering, CAD, analysis, fabrication/build, project management, and logistics.
