Ground Systems Fire Control & Communications Test Engineer

Parsons is seeking a dedicated Ground Systems Fire Control & Communications Test Engineer for full-time employment located in Huntsville, Alabama. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical mission systems that support national defense through rigorous testing and validation of advanced fire control and communications infrastructure.

What This Role Involves

In this role, you'll serve as a technical specialist responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of ground systems that integrate fire control and communications capabilities. You'll conduct comprehensive testing protocols, identify system deficiencies, and work collaboratively with engineering and program teams to deliver systems that meet exacting operational standards.

Core Duties

• Execute test plans and procedures for ground-based fire control systems and communications infrastructure
• Perform systems integration testing to verify interoperability between fire control and communications components
• Document test results, anomalies, and corrective actions in detailed technical reports
• Collaborate with design engineers and program managers to troubleshoot system performance issues
• Support compliance verification and validation activities for government contracts and military standards
• Participate in hardware and software configuration management throughout the testing lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Demonstrated experience testing complex military or aerospace systems
• Proficiency with test equipment, data acquisition tools, and technical documentation standards
• Understanding of fire control systems, military communications protocols, or ground-based radar systems
• Ability to work effectively in a classified environment and obtain necessary security clearances
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and written communication abilities
