Teacher Assistant

Brightpoint seeks a dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our Head Start Preschool team in Berne, Colorado. This full-time, school-year position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.

Role Overview

As a Teacher Assistant at Brightpoint, you'll work 40 hours per week supporting our preschool classroom during the school year. You'll partner with lead educators to create an engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment where children thrive. Your role is essential to fostering a classroom culture that encourages exploration, growth, and positive social-emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Set up and organize classroom spaces with materials and learning centers that inspire curiosity and hands-on discovery
• Support the implementation of evidence-based teaching methods designed to build independence and decision-making skills in young children
• Facilitate group activities, transitions, and routines that promote cooperation and peer interaction
• Assist in designing and executing learning experiences aligned with preschool curriculum standards
• Observe and document children's progress while maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom environment
• Collaborate with teaching staff and families to support each child's individual learning goals
