Senior Manager, Indirect Tax – Global Trade

About the Role

As a Senior Manager in Indirect Tax and Global Trade, you'll advise major corporations on managing their indirect tax obligations while optimizing global supply chain operations. You'll work with clients across diverse industries, many ranking among the Fortune 100, to develop and implement trade strategies that reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and create measurable financial value.

What You'll Do

• Lead indirect tax and global trade engagements for large multinational clients, overseeing compliance, advisory, and strategic transformation projects
• Develop comprehensive trade strategies encompassing tariff classification, country-of-origin determination, free trade agreement optimization, and supply chain restructuring
• Advise on indirect tax challenges including import/export duties, landed cost analysis, value-added tax (VAT) compliance, and customs procedures across international jurisdictions
• Build and mentor a team of tax professionals, establishing quality standards, directing project delivery, and developing talent
• Stay current with evolving trade regulations, tariff law changes, trade agreements, and customs procedures affecting client operations
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic recommendations that improve client profitability and operational efficiency
• Manage relationships with key clients, serve as trusted advisor on complex trade matters, and drive new business development

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive experience in indirect tax, global trade, tariff management, or tax advisory services
• Demonstrated expertise in international tariff classification, customs law, trade compliance, and trade agreement implementation
• Proven success leading client engagements and building high-performing professional teams
• In-depth knowledge of US tariff schedules, trade regulations, customs administration, and international tax rules
• Strong project management capability and a track record of business development
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, international business, or related field; CPA, CIE, or equivalent credential strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex trade regulations into strategic business guidance
