The Opportunity
Diedre Moire Corp. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Surety Underwriter to join our team in Reston, VA. As the in-house representative for the Bond Department, you will be responsible for underwriting new business, processing bond requests and renewals, and serving as a key point of contact for clients.
Your Responsibilities
- Underwrite new commercial surety contracts and bonds including bid, performance, payment, and license & permit bonds.
- Process bond requests and renewals efficiently and accurately.
- Serve as the in-house representative for the Bond Department, ensuring seamless communication with clients and internal teams.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in surety underwriting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including bid, performance, payment, and license & permit bonds.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess risk accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and underwriting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
