Tillamook School District 9 is hiring six summer paint crew members to help maintain and refresh school facilities. This is a hands-on, full-time opportunity perfect for students and young adults who want to gain outdoor work experience as part of our campus improvement initiative. The position begins July 1, 2026, and is based at Tillamook High School.
About the Role
Join our painting team for a summer of practical, outdoor work. As a Paint Crew Member, you'll work on campus improvement projects alongside experienced team members. This is a full-time student worker position where you'll develop real skills, contribute meaningfully to school facilities, and earn work experience in a structured team environment.
What You'll Do
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces on school campus buildings
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, protecting surfaces, and setting up equipment
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and standard painting tools
- Collaborate with crew members to complete daily painting assignments
- Follow the crew leader's direction and maintain a safe, organized workspace
- Take responsibility for equipment care and proper cleanup
What We're Looking For
- Age 16 or older by July 1, 2026
- Interest in outdoor work and working cooperatively with a team
- Ability to listen to direction and work well with others
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to show up prepared each day
- Painting experience is a plus but not required—we train motivated candidates
