About the Role
This full-time teaching position puts you at the center of meaningful child development during summer and after-school hours. You'll design and deliver instruction for K-6 students that balances structured learning with play-based exploration, building confidence and resilience in a supportive, inclusive environment.
What You'll Do
- Create and implement thoughtfully designed lesson plans tailored to elementary learners' developmental stages
- Deliver instruction that strengthens academic skills while nurturing creativity, social connection, and physical wellness
- Build a welcoming classroom culture where all students feel valued and supported
- Guide students through conflict resolution and peer relationship challenges with empathy and clear guidance
- Observe and respond to individual student needs, adapting activities and support as appropriate
- Partner with families and colleagues to ensure consistent, quality learning experiences
What We're Looking For
- Current EDU119 certification or equivalent credentials in Early Childhood Education
- Prior experience working directly with elementary-age children in educational, camp, or care settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and families
- Natural enthusiasm for fostering child development across all dimensions
- Ability to design and facilitate structured learning experiences within a flexible, responsive framework
- Commitment to safety, inclusivity, and creating nurturing spaces where every child belongs
