Join the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Baylor University in Waco as a part-time Student Worker — Overnight Residence Assistant for the ECS Innovate summer program (July 12–24, 2026).

About the Role

This part-time position is key to supporting student residents during overnight shifts in the residence hall. You'll be the responsible on-duty staff member during evening and night hours, providing supervision and ensuring student safety. Your role is to create a welcoming, supportive living environment while responding to resident needs and emergencies.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and supervise student residents during overnight hours
• Respond promptly to resident requests, concerns, and emergencies
• Enforce residence hall policies and maintain community standards
• Document incidents and maintain accurate records
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive residential environment
• Communicate with supervisors regarding resident needs and concerns

• Currently enrolled student or recent graduate
• Ability to work overnight hours (graveyard shift)
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Responsible, mature, and trustworthy demeanor
• Willingness to support diverse student populations
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies and unusual situations

Program Details

This overnight residence assistant position is part of the ECS Innovate program, a summer initiative for student leaders and participants in engineering and computer science. The role runs July 12–24, 2026, with a schedule of 40 hours per week at $7.25 per hour. The position is based on campus in Waco, McLennan County, with no remote work options.
