About the Role

As a Store Floor Lead at Sur La Table, you will play a key role in the success of our retail store by inspiring customers throughout every stage of their culinary experience. In this leadership role, you support the General Manager or Store Manager in achieving sales and operational goals while serving as the Manager on Duty (MOD), ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering a #bestincenter customer experience.

• Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as MOD
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement, communicating performance issues directly to the General Manager/Store Manager
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates

Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire customers. Your responsibilities include:

• Create a welcoming environment for all customers, providing exceptional service and support
• Manage the sales floor to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
• Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive experience

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A minimum of 3 years of retail leadership experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to inspire and motivate team members
• Exposure to customer service and sales environments
• Experience with inventory management and store operations
