The Opportunity
At Genpact, we are seeking a Senior Counsel - Compliance to join our team and help us navigate the complex landscape of regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal as you will be responsible for ensuring that all business operations adhere to legal standards and industry regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance strategies, manage risk, and advise on legal matters.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of compliance-related issues.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Create and deliver training sessions to educate employees on compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay updated with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact our operations.
What We're Looking For
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Counsel or similar role with a focus on compliance.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to the business environment.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
