About This Position
Join The United States Secret Service and be part of a team that balances investigative missions with fulfilling a critical role in protecting the nation. As a Special Agent, you will contribute to safeguarding our country's leaders and other high-risk targets. Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Carry out investigative duties related to the protection of the President, Vice President, their families, and other high-risk individuals.
- Conduct background investigations and security assessments for potential threats.
- Develop intelligence and maintain situational awareness in support of protective operations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance your investigative and protective skills.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, but a master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience. A law enforcement background is preferred.
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of full-time professional work experience in the investigative field (law enforcement, intelligence, etc.).
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities.
- A valid U.S. passport is required upon appointment.
- Candidates must pass a thorough background investigation, medical examination, and polygraph test.
