About the Role
As Deputy Fire Safety Director, you bring expertise in fire protection systems, life safety code compliance, and emergency response coordination. You'll oversee daily fire safety operations, manage emergency protocols, and ensure all tenants and occupants receive the highest level of protection and preparedness.
What You'll Do
- Manage fire safety systems, inspections, and maintenance schedules
- Ensure full compliance with NYC Fire Code, Life Safety Code, and all applicable regulations
- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and tenant safety training
- Conduct regular safety audits and document findings
- Lead investigations into fire safety incidents and near-misses
- Maintain relationships with FDNY and other regulatory agencies
- Oversee fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and emergency lighting
- Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
- SOIII certification and demonstrated expertise in fire safety management
- Deep knowledge of NYC Fire Code and life safety regulations
- Experience managing fire protection systems and emergency response
- Strong leadership skills and ability to coordinate across departments
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
