Tenet-AZ Region is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – OR – Operating Room to join its surgical services team in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. This full-time staff opportunity is ideal for a perioperative nurse who thrives in a fast-paced operating room and wants to deliver hands-on, patient-centered care.
About the Role
As an Operating Room Registered Nurse with Tenet-AZ Region in Tucson, you will provide direct nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures. This is an ongoing position scheduled at 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts, giving you a consistent schedule within a collaborative perioperative environment. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available based on eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process in the operating room.
- Prepare the surgical suite, instruments, and supplies to support safe and efficient procedures.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changing clinical needs during surgery.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible to practice in Arizona.
- Experience or specialty focus in OR – Operating Room / perioperative nursing.
- Ability to work full-time, 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and effective communication within a surgical team.
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality nursing care.
