Wintrust is seeking a Treasury Management Sales Officer to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this full-time position, you'll build relationships with commercial clients and deliver tailored cash management and treasury solutions that drive their business success.
About the Role
As a Treasury Management Sales Officer at Wintrust, you'll identify and pursue opportunities with mid-market commercial clients throughout the Grand Rapids region. You'll partner with business development and operations teams to position Wintrust's comprehensive treasury and payment solutions, helping clients optimize liquidity, streamline operations, and reduce risk. This role combines consultative selling expertise with deep product knowledge to deliver measurable value to every client you serve.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through targeted outreach, relationship building, and strategic networking
- Conduct thorough needs assessments with commercial banking clients to understand their cash management and treasury objectives
- Present customized solutions including liquidity management, payment processing, and working capital optimization
- Prepare professional proposals and pricing structures aligned with client requirements and Wintrust capabilities
- Collaborate with internal operations, compliance, and product teams to implement solutions and ensure seamless client transitions
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets while nurturing long-term client partnerships from initial engagement through ongoing account management
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of treasury management sales, commercial banking sales, or financial services business development experience
- Proven success consistently meeting or surpassing sales quotas and revenue targets
- Strong working knowledge of treasury management products, cash management platforms, and payment solutions
- Consultative selling approach with demonstrated ability to diagnose client needs and propose strategic solutions
- Excellent relationship-building skills with C-suite, CFOs, and key financial decision-makers
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management software
- Self-motivated with ability to manage independent priorities while collaborating effectively across teams
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant professional experience
