Join Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens as a Senior Service Fee Biller, a full-time position in our Brooklyn office dedicated to managing billing operations for our extensive social services programs across Brooklyn and Queens.
About the Role
As Senior Service Fee Biller, you'll be essential to our financial operations, overseeing service fee billing for the organization's 160+ programs serving children, youth, adults, seniors, and individuals with mental illness. Reporting to the Service Fee Supervisor, you'll manage computerized billing systems, coordinate collections, and maintain accurate financial records that allow our social services teams to focus on client care.
What You'll Do
- Process and manage service fee billing using accounting and billing software systems
- Generate invoices, track payments, and perform account reconciliation for accuracy
- Monitor outstanding balances and oversee collection efforts with clients and third-party partners
- Maintain comprehensive billing records and compile financial reports for management review
- Address billing questions, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely follow-up to stakeholders
- Assist team members with billing projects and system documentation
What We're Looking For
- Experience in billing operations, accounting, healthcare billing, or similar financial roles
- Proficiency with billing software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing large volumes of financial data
- Excellent organizational abilities and time-management skills
- Professional communication style and commitment to customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent; billing certification or some college coursework preferred
