About This Position

KBR is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. As part of Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS), you will contribute to providing holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for KBR’s projects.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Analyze purchasing trends and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or related field, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
