The Opportunity

Optiver, a leading global market maker, is seeking an experienced financial services lawyer to serve as the sole legal practitioner in Singapore (nationwide) (nationwide). Reporting directly to the APAC General Counsel, you will be responsible for handling regulatory, corporate, and commercial matters, particularly focusing on initiatives related to MAS-licensed entities and the onboarding of financial intermediaries to support the scaling of our business.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibilities include leading legal structuring, drafting contracts, conducting risk assessments, and providing comprehensive legal advice. You will be involved in a wide range of activities such as regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and commercial transactions. Additionally, you will ensure that all business operations are aligned with local regulations and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services law, preferably within a legal advisory role for financial institutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
• Strong understanding of MAS regulations and other relevant Singapore (nationwide) (nationwide)an laws.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
• A proactive attitude and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
