The Opportunity

The University of Canterbury (Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha) invites applications for a full-time Senior Lecturer position within the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the UC Business School. This role is based in Christchurch, New Zealand (Ōtautahi).

Key Responsibilities

• To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality management accounting courses.
• To engage in research that advances knowledge in the field of management accounting.
• To supervise postgraduate students and support their academic progress.
• To participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide activities.

Who We're Looking For

• A PhD or equivalent qualification in Management Accounting or a related field is essential.
• Proven experience in teaching management accounting at the tertiary level is required.
• Experience in research and publication within the field of management accounting is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students.
