Role Overview
The University of the Sunshine Coast's Information Technology team is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our strategic partnership in delivering innovative, reliable and secure technology services that support teaching, learning, research and business operations. This full-time (36.25 hrs per week), fixed-term appointment for 12 months offers an attractive salary range of $118,986 - $134,756 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our diverse user base
- Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technology solutions into teaching, learning, research, and business processes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT strategies that align with organizational goals
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to staff and students on best practices for technology use
Requirements
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on network, server, and storage technologies
- Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructures
- Strong understanding of security principles and practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies such as VMware, Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.
