Focus Financial Partners is seeking a Senior Business Analyst, Wealth Technology in St. Louis, Missouri to lead the design and delivery of Salesforce solutions and business process improvements for advisor and operations teams. As the key connection between business stakeholders and technology partners, you'll translate complex organizational needs into clear requirements, workflows, and scalable solutions that drive adoption and measurable results.
About This Position
This full-time role centers on guiding the definition, documentation, and rollout of technology initiatives with particular emphasis on Salesforce platforms that support wealth management operations. You'll function as a strategic bridge between end users, product teams, business leadership, and technical vendors—ensuring that solutions address real business challenges while delivering improved workflows and user experiences. The position combines deep business analysis with hands-on project coordination, requiring someone who can move fluidly between discovery conversations and detailed solution documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery, process analysis, and solution design for Salesforce development and enhancement efforts serving advisor and operations teams.
- Gather and synthesize business requirements from stakeholders, platform engineers, and end users to identify pain points and recommend scalable improvements.
- Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, workflow documentation, and functional specifications that guide development and implementation.
- Serve as a domain expert on advisor and operations workflows, ensuring technology solutions achieve both business objectives and strong user experience outcomes.
- Facilitate cross-functional sessions including discovery workshops, design reviews, demonstrations, and working team meetings.
- Assess current-state workflows and design future-state processes that enhance efficiency, reduce manual work, and support consistent adoption.
- Support prioritization decisions by evaluating business value, user impact, technical dependencies, implementation risk, and complexity factors.
- Manage project lifecycle activities spanning planning, requirements definition, design, testing coordination, release preparation, and post-deployment support.
- Own project management duties for assigned initiatives, including schedule coordination, milestone tracking, dependency management, and progress communication.
- Lead or contribute to functional testing, user acceptance testing, and validation activities while managing defects and quality issues.
- Create and maintain project documentation including business cases, process maps, user stories, decision records, training content, and release communications.
- Identify risks, surface implementation obstacles, document trade-offs, and recommend solutions to keep initiatives moving forward.
- Mentor junior analysts and project team members, providing guidance and subject matter expertise as needed.
- Partner with change management and training teams to ensure user readiness and successful adoption of new capabilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in business analysis, technology delivery, product support, solution design, or CRM enhancement initiatives.
- Proven expertise supporting Salesforce programs across requirements gathering, user story creation, testing, configuration, or enhancement delivery.
- Background with advisor, operations, financial services, wealth management, or CRM-enabled business processes strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated skill leading requirements discussions, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and converting business needs into actionable technical deliverables.
- Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving mindset, and proficiency with process mapping and workflow design.
- Experience guiding technology projects from discovery through design, development, testing, launch readiness, and post-launch optimization.
- Project management experience including planning, resource coordination, risk and dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively engage business, technical, and executive audiences.
- Capability to work autonomously, balance competing priorities, and advance multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills when working with colleagues, external vendors, and technology partners.
- Familiarity with Workday, Asana, reporting and analytics platforms, or comparable wealth technology systems is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline; equivalent professional experience considered.
