The Opportunity
MaterResearch is seeking a Senior Biostatistician to contribute to the Tiny Babies Initiative within the Mater Mother and Baby Research Program. This role involves working 19 hours per week on a part-time basis for a two-year fixed-term period at our South Brisbane campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting statistical analyses of research data to support clinical trials and studies
- Developing and implementing statistical methods and models to enhance the research outcomes
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians and researchers, to ensure accurate and meaningful interpretation of data
- Preparation of reports and publications for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of biostatistical methodologies and software tools
Who We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in Biostatistics or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in the field
- Strong proficiency in statistical software such as R, SAS, or STATA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within the team
- A proven track record of contributing to successful research projects
- Commitment to ethical standards in data handling and analysis
