About This Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of the best schools in Hammersmith. The role will commence at the beginning of the academic year with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- To support students with special educational needs, ensuring their inclusion in classroom activities and providing individualized attention as needed.
- To collaborate closely with teachers to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
- To assist in the preparation of lesson plans and materials tailored for SEN students.
- To maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's development.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within an SEN environment.
- A strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both students and colleagues.
